Captain John T. “Buzzy” Griner had lived and fished on the Bay for over 35 years. He is a lifelong resident of the area and served his country in the United States Army where he was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He has served his community through his service in the Anne Arundel Fire Department for 30 years, earning the rank of Lieutenant. He has owned and operated numerous boats both commercially and recreationally and carried on his family's tradition of Chesapeake bay boating.
